Throughout life, learning is one of the things that we can do to keep our brains healthy. People of all ages benefit from formal and informal learning, whether you are learning a new skill, new ideas, languages or even memorizing trivia. Learning boosts mental health, especially when it is done intentionally. Try something that interests you or that is useful. There are many low-cost or free options. If the idea of taking a class is daunting or your time is limited, self-paced online courses can be a good fit; In-person classes are good ways to socialize within a structured setting. It’s fun to meet other people who share the same interests and you may discover some talents you didn’t know you had!
