Gloria Dei welcomes ELCA Presiding Bishop Elizabeth Eaton at a candlelight service of Holy Communion on Friday, Jan. 6, at 7 p.m. to celebrate the arrival of the magi to the newborn Christ. Epiphany signals the end of the 12 days of Christmas and the beginning of a season of light that lasts until Lent. Gloria Dei also welcomes the entire conference of bishops, who are in the Twin Cities for their January meeting. A reception will follow the service.
