Soul Food Book Discussion Group

Soul Food, a group that discusses books from a faith perspective, meets weekly during the school year from 9:30-11 a.m., on Wednesday mornings. We begin each week with a prayerful reading of the coming Sunday’s gospel text and prayer. Then, we discuss a few chapters from a book we’ve chosen to read together, including time for questions, Bible study and personal reflection. You’re welcome to come for all or any of the discussions. Your presence will make our conversation that much more meaningful.

In the weeks leading up to Christmas we will be discussing The Soul of a Pilgrim: Eight Practices for the Journey Within, by Christine Valters Painter. The author invites us to use various faith practices to experience daily pilgrimages in our lives. Scripture, poetry, and faithful voices from across the globe are woven into the reflections, and will enrich our discussion. We hope you’ll join us.
