Soul Food, a group that discusses books from a faith perspective, meets weekly from 9:30-11 a.m., on Wednesday mornings. Due to COVID-19, we have moved to online meetings. Email Pastor Lois Pallmeyer for meeting details.
We begin each week with a prayerful reading of the coming Sunday’s gospel text and prayer. Then, we discuss a few chapters from a book we’ve chosen to read together, including time for questions, Bible study and personal reflection. You’re welcome to come for all or any of the discussions. Your presence will make our conversation that much more meaningful. We are currently discussing Mudhouse Sabbath: An Invitation to a Life of Spiritual Discipline, by Lauren F. Winner. Winner presents eleven Jewish spiritual practices that can transform the way Christians view the world and God.
