Gather with us on Sunday, September 8, as we kick off a new year of programming, Sunday School, and ministries together. Rally Day gathers those who have been here often, and those who are here for their first time. God’s grace works to knit us together into a new communion. It’s a great chance to make new friends, and to reach out to someone you’ve never talked with before. Watch for people standing by themselves and introduce yourself!
We’ll worship together at 8:15 and 10:00 (Note that we won’t begin our fall worship schedule until the following Sunday). Children will have the chance to briefly visit their rooms and meet their teachers and leaders for Sunday School, GAPP, or Water Tower at 9:30 a.m.*
After the second service, we’ll move out for a celebration on the front lawn, including lunch, games, live music, and chances to connect with others. We invite you to bring something to share for our salad bar or dessert table. (Bring a prepared salad, or any ingredient that you’d add to salad, or a dessert that others can enjoy with you. Please NO PEANUTS to help those with allergies feel welcome.) Shobi’s Table (St. Paul Area Synod’s re-energized Pay as You Can cafe) will provide wraps. To help us work toward less waste, consider bringing your own dishes and utensils for lunch. Visit our Care for Creation’s new compost and recycling bins.
Learn about some of Gloria Dei’s outreach ministries at the interactive displays on our front lawn. You’ll even have a chance to help pack one of the grocery backpacks we provide to students at Highland Elementary School during the school year.
There will be a Bouncy House for the kids and chances to meet new friends. You don’t want to miss it!
