Our six-week Lenten journey began on Ash Wednesday. Gloria Dei’s theme for Lent this year is, “Return to …”, which means something different for each of us. Throughout Lent and Holy Week, we invite you to use our daily Lenten Reflections booklet with poems, prayers and reflections from Gloria Dei members and staff.
On Feb. 27-28, we have limited availability for Lenten Prayer Time in the Sanctuary. Learn more and sign up here.
We invite all to join our online midweek worship services during Lent.

In worship, we will use the service, Light of Love, written by Paul Damico-Carper. The words, which Paul created in 2005 while on staff at Holden Village, are a reimagining of the traditional Vespers texts. They reflect that community’s commitment to expansive language for God and people and its concern for the wellbeing of oppressed people and all God’s creation. For us in this time of separation and pandemic, it lifts up the hope of a beloved community where God’s presence is known in merciful justice, powerful peace and abundant love. The music, which Paul also wrote, is set in a style inspired by singer-songwriters like Joni Mitchell, India.Arie and Paul Simon.
