Donors needed for Blood Drive on February 4

The American Red Cross is in urgent need of all types of blood for lifesaving treatments and emergency care. Currently, blood products are going out to hospitals faster than they are coming in. Since blood products are perishable and cannot be stored for very long, the need is especially great in winter because stormy weather, travel, and influenza outbreaks decrease donations.
You can help replenish the blood supply during this critical shortage by signing up for our blood drive February 4th. This is the only blood drive this year at Gloria Dei. Every time you give blood, you can help up to 3 people. Type O blood is particularly useful since it can be given to people with any blood type, but all types are needed.
Schedule an appointment by using the Red Cross Blood Donor App, visiting RedCrossBlood.org, calling 1-800-RED-CROSS (1-800-733-02767) or the Parish Nurse Line at Gloria Dei, 651-699-1378 ext 3031. If you use the Blood Donor App, you can use RapidPass before your appointment to complete the pre-donation questions on your phone, tablet or computer.
