PREPARING TO SEND KIDS OFF TO COLLEGE---Sunday, Jan. 25, 2009, 9:45 – 10:45 a.m.  Parents of any age children are invited to prepare for the college years.  Sally Daniels, Director of Parent and Family Relations at Augsburg College will be with us as we observe ELCA College Sunday, and will answer questions about sending kids off to school.   How do we prepare our kids for a life on their own? What's the college admission process like for kids today? What are the pitfalls or mistakes to avoid in the first few months of parenting a college student? How do you encourage your kids to take the admissions process seriously without getting anxious about it? What resources do colleges offer kids and parents during the initial transition to college life? Be with us as she discusses these and other questions.
