On May 6^th of this year, Gloria Dei Lutheran Church celebrated its 99^th Birthday.  That party set the stage for a festive year of celebration beginning in December of this year marking our 100^th anniversary as a congregation.   We would like to take this opportunity to outline some of these activities and offer ways in which you may wish to participate and financially support this once-in-a-lifetime event.

Gloria Dei was founded in 1908 at the corner of Hague and Victoria in Saint Paul.  In 1950 the congregation moved into our current building, expanding the facility in both 1964 and 2002.  However, the 100^th Anniversary will recognize more than just our history.  Together we will celebrate who and whose we are and share our vision for the future in this community.

We invite you to join us in this exciting celebration, both as active participants and as financial supporters of this milestone year.                                            

There are two options available for the financial support of these, and other, Centennial activities. 

First, you can make a general gift to Gloria Dei to support overall Centennial activities in any of the following categories:

Pillar	$5,000 +
Benefactor	$2,000 - $4,999
Patron	$1,000 - $1,999
Ambassador	$ 500 - $999
Friend	$ 1 - $499

Second, you could elect to be a sponsor of any of the events described in the event calendar.  The cost of sponsorship is $500 for each event and there is no limit to the number of sponsors for each event. Sponsors will be recognized at the specific event. If you wish to sponsor multiple events, your cumulative contributions will be reflected in the donor categories listed above.

Recognition will be given to all who provide financial support for the Centennial year. A Centennial Donor booklet will be made available at both the Centennial Worship celebration and the Reunion Weekend.  In addition, all financial contributors, including our corporate sponsors, will be recognized in the 2008 Annual Report to the congregation.

Please return this form and check made payable to Gloria Dei as soon you are able.  Please note that these contributions to the church are tax deductible to the extent provided by law.
