Gloria Dei

Welcome to the Lord's Table
Children who have been meeting during Lent with their families have been preparing to receive Holy Communion for the first time.  Welcome!  We are excited to be sharing this special day with you.

Here's what you can expect:  Come to church with your family.  Near the bay window in the Gathering Place, find your nametag and flower, and put them on.  Take the certificate that will be there for you, too.  You may sit with your family, and come up to communion when they do.  Make sure you indicate clearly with your outstretched palms that you’re ready to receive!  The pastors will be very happy to be able to welcome you to the meal.

If you are singing with Schola Cantorum Choir on Palm Sunday (April 17) or Easter (April 24):  You will not be wearing choir robes.  On Palm Sunday, Schola will sing in the Gathering Place at the very beginning of worship.  You may wear a flower and a name tag, and then stand with the choir to sing.  After your anthem, you will join your family and you may sit with them to worship for the remainder of the service.

On Easter, you will not be wearing a choir robe, and may wear your flower and name tag.  You will sit with the choir.  Please talk with your family to find out if they wish to join you when it's time for you to receive Communion.

If you are singing with A! Choir on Palm Sunday (April 17).  You may wear your flower and name tag on your choir shirt.  Your family will join you in time for Communion and you will receive communion with them.
