The mission statement of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church reads...

"By God’s grace, we are called to be a caring, healing and welcoming community who proclaim and celebrate the love of Jesus Christ, live as God’s servants and seek justice for all people."

At Gloria Dei, we take this statement seriously. It reflects our deep sense of joy in our membership in the family of God and our gratitude for the love that flows into our lives through Jesus Christ. By the power of the Holy Spirit we are inspired to worship and praise and serve. In this community, it is important to live out our faith by allowing the story of Jesus and his love to permeate all that we do. In our worship and in our service to God and one another and in our reaching out to the world beyond our door, we hope to live out our mission as a caring, healing and welcoming community of faith.

The richness of this congregation is the wonderful involvement of its members. We are blessed by the varieties of gifts that people bring into this congregation. Through the generous out-pouring of these gifts, the word becomes known and dwells among us. And, as we grow in our participation and involvement in this community of faith, we begin to establish a wonderful network of friendships in the family of God. We are family - brothers and sisters in Christ who share a wonderful connection to Gloria Dei.

As people who are truly here to proclaim and celebrate, we rejoice in the company of one another, for together we become a strong witness to Christ's love in this world. May that love continue to inspire our ministry and our mission to be a caring, healing, welcoming place where we are known by the way we love.
