 | "I believe in God's Grace..."
Reading of the Day: Matthew 20:10-16
“Now when the first came, they thought they would receive more; but each of them also received the usual daily wa 10F0 ge. And when they received it, they grumbled against the landowner, saying, ‘These last worked only one hour, and you have made them equal to us who have borne the burden of the day and the scorching heat.’ But he replied to one of them, ‘Friend, I am doing you no wrong; did you not agree with me for the usual daily wage? Take what belongs to you and go; I choose to give to this last the same as I give to you. Am I not allowed to do what I choose with what belongs to me? Or are you envious because I am generous?’ So the last will be first, and the first will be last.”
I believe in God’s grace and Jesus’ ministry. I don’t fully understand much of them, but I believe in them. That faith gives me a spiritual place to start – an anchor to deal with life’s uncertainties and to find joy in life’s wonders. Gloria Dei gives me an environment to reflect on my faith and try to understand grace and ministry. It is also a place where these gifts can be - and, in many ways, are – brought into reality by the people who are this church.
PRAYER: Lord, may the faith of each of us grow stronger each day as we proceed on life’s journey. Amen.
