Gloria Dei welcomes to the sacrament of Holy Communion anyone who is baptized and whose family desires them to participate in the meal. Many children wait until they have participated in our Fourth Grade Holy Communion class. Other families have chosen to include their younger children in the sacrament. If you are interested in learning more about how to prepare your child to receive Holy Communion, please talk with one of the pastors. To learn more about when our regularly scheduled classes will meet, read on... Opportunities for young people and their families to discuss Holy Communion are offered at least annually, often in the spring. Participants in either class may use this time to prepare for their first communion. If you have further questions about either of these classes, please t All Fourth Graders and their parents are encouraged to attend Come To God’s Table, which meets during the Sunday School hour, from 9:45 – 10:30 a.m. This year our class will meet on Sundays, February 3, 10, and 24, 2008. While this class serves as preparation for many of the students’ first communion, even those fourth graders who have Families with children younger than fourth grade who would like for them to receive communion are invited to a five part mid-week series, The Welcome Table. This class meets on Wednesdays during the Lenten season, 6:15 – 6:45 p.m. Classes for the upcoming session are scheduled for February 13, 20, 27, March 5 and 12.
