6. ENROLLMENT PROCEDURE

A. Complete the application form.  All new children to our program must have had a physical examination within 6 months of admission date. The Health Care Form, completed by you and your physician, must be on file before your child’s entrance to the program in the fall.

B. Each new parent is required to make an appointment for a visit to the school and meet with the Director-Teacher. Send or mail your application form along with the $75.00 registration fee and September tuition to:

Young Christian Nursery
6875 Cain Avenue East
Inver Grove Heights, MN  55076

Call the Director evenings and weekends at 651-451-2763 or school mornings at 651-699-1378 to make an appointment for the visit. Your child will be registered in the order the registration form is received.

C. You will be notified by mail of your child’s acceptance into the program. In case of full registration, your application will be either placed on a waiting list, or if you prefer, your registration fee will be refunded to you.

7. WITHDRAWAL PROCEDURE Enrollment is based on the entire school year (from date of entrance through May). The financial status depends entirely on those enrolled in the program. New or replacement children seldom enroll in mid-year. If, however, your family experiences a major change, such as a move away from the area, please notify the Director-Teacher one month in advance.

8. REQUIRED PARENT’S MEETING An orientation meeting for parents will be held Thursday, September 6, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. at Gloria Dei. One or both parents are expected to attend. The Advisory Board will be formed, car pooling made available, and policies and activities for the entire year discussed.

9. PARENT INVOLVEMENT Parents have the opportunity to assist in the classroom once each month. The staff feels it is of great advantage to the program to be able to work with the parents, and for the parents to be able to observe the program and their own children interacting therein. We will do our best to accommodate the parent’s choice of day each month. The schedule is made up to at least two months at a time. If you are unable to assist, please let us know at registration time and an additional $25.00 tuition per month will be assessed.

A Parent-Advisory Board will be formed at the September meeting. Those wishing to have a voice and assist in the operation of the school may volunteer to be on that board. It will consist of parents from both classes plus the staff. The Board meets 2 to 3 times a year and plans special events.

10. EXTENDED-DAY CLASSES Children have the opportunity to attend the morning classes and stay an extra session until 2:00 P.M.  They need to bring their own lunch, and will have opportunities to work on literacy and math skills, advanced music, games, and fun and enjoy a small group with a teacher ratio of 2/14 children.
