Our gifts to the Operating Fund of Gloria Dei support the ministries and program budget of the church. With our contributions and by God’s grace we are able to accomplish so many great things. To name just a few:
- Uplifting worship opportunities, including Sunday morning and evening services reaching more than 600 members and visitors each Sunday
- An unparalleled church music program for all ages, including a talented and inspiring adult choir, instrumental groups and children’s choirs
- Rich educational opportunities for the more than 600 children and youth enrolled in our Sunday School and who participate in confirmation, plus all the adults who participate in small group studies, forums, and numerous classes offered each year
- Faith formation activities for our youth, offering them opportunities for worship, fellowship and service at Cabrini Green in Chicago, San Lucas Toliman, and in our community –where hundreds of lives have been touched by the love of Christ
- A thoughtful and deep Parish Nurse program providing opportunities for seniors and others to come together for exercise, nutritional and health support and other activities
- Our ongoing efforts as a Reconciling in Christ congregation to welcome members of our community who have felt excluded, and our programs such as The Jeremiah Project, Project Home, Youth Outreach, and many more that involve and support our diverse and growing membership
- Our many outreach programs, including a comfortable and welcoming homeless shelter that provides ministry for parents and children each December, support for immigrant families new to our community, financial and other support for Rezek House, The Jeremiah Project, Bread for the World, San Lucas Toliman, Lutheran World Relief and many others
- Contributions to the Saint Paul Area Synod of the ELCA that support the outreach efforts of our church-wide body
Together, we are able to avail these ministries through the gifted talents of our staff, inspirational dedication of many volunteers, and gifts of our members.
