With grateful hearts, the members of Gloria Dei are called on to recognize how the ministries made possible through contributions to the annual operating fund allow us to affirm our faith, to connect with each other, to serve our community and to welcome all.
As a caring, healing and welcoming community, we open our doors to all those who wish to enter and reach out to those in need, reminding ourselves that we are all children of God. When we gather for worship at Gloria Dei, we are reminded that God has called each of us by name.
Through baptism, we discover who and whose we are. During worship, Sunday school, confirmation and adult education classes, we find fellowship and strengthen our faith. We offer shelter to those without a place to call home through our efforts with Rezek House and Project Home. And we nourish the hungry through our participation in Loaves and Fishes and food drives to benefit the Keystone Food Shelf.
We reach beyond the borders of our community with contributions to the Saint Paul Area Synod of the ELCA and our partnership with missions in Hong Kong and Guatemala. As a Reconciling in Christ congregation, we welcome all who wish to join us.
The Bible reminds us that God is the source of all we have received, so we are able to return to the Lord generously.
Gifts to the annual operating fund make it possible for the members of Gloria Dei to put their faith into action. During this time of transition and new beginnings, our stewardship efforts have never been more important, as we commit anew to our ministry of caring, healing and welcoming amid continuing economic challenges. If you have not pledged in the past, please consider doing so now. No amount is too small. For those who have pledged previously, even a modest increase would be a great help. And, as you contemplate your stewardship commitment, consider using the Simply Giving program to sustain your gracious giving throughout the year.
