Soul Food Book Discussion Group

Soul Food, a group that discusses books from a faith perspective, meets weekly during the school year from 9:30-11 a.m., on Wednesday mornings. We begin each week with a prayerful reading of the coming Sunday’s gospel text and prayer. Then, we discuss a few chapters from a book we’ve chosen to read together, including time for questions, Bible study and personal reflection. You’re welcome to come for all or any of the discussions. Your presence will make our conversation that much more meaningful.

On February 21, we’ll begin our discussion of Grounded: Finding God in the World – A Spiritual Revolution by Diana Butler Bass.  The author urges us to see the “pattern of God all around us,” not separate from the day to day world we live in, but fully present in the ground beneath us, relating to us in time and space as “the love that connects and creates all things.”  We hope you’ll join us.
