Young Christian Nursery (YCN) is intended for the purpose of enriching the lives of pre-school children ages 3 - 5.  The staff is committed to providing an interesting program in which the well being of the child is primary.

Since it's beginning in 1973 the philosophy of the program is that children have a need for a postive self image, and that it can be achived by successful participation in and enjoyment of many, varied activities.

The goal is to provide

a balanced program in which each child can develop socially, emotionally, physically, intellectually, and spiritually.  Christianity is taught and practiced in each aspect of the program. "To love one another as God has loved us."

YCN is operated as a "parent-cooperative" in that parents have an opportunity to assist in the daily program and/or serve on a parent advisory board, with opportunity to give input and ideas.  The goal for parent involvement is to encourage team effort between parents and school in the development of the child for a good educational foundation.
