Dear Friends, It is now more than seven years since we dedicated the new addition to our church building, an addition that has served us so well. The Gathering Space has been the site of countless occasions that have brought us together for receptions, concerts, and just plain meeting and greeting one another. The Sunday School rooms on the lower level, filled with children on Sunday mornings or during the week of What began 10 years ago as an approximately $5 million project with an initial mortgage of $3,380,000 has been reduced to a current mortgage balance of $2,156,361 million! In 7 years, we have been able to decrease our indebtedness by $1,223,639, which puts us ahead of schedule while at the same time sharing many of our resources with others. That is quite an accomplishment! We have been blessed by the generosity of givers who have supported this effort through the years. “With grateful hearts” … we give thanks for faithful stewards. This year we will all be asked once again to give generously to a 3-year Capital Campaign that will assure available funds for meeting our mortgage payments. At the same time, we will also be asked to give generously to our Annual Giving Campaign that provides the financial support we need to carry out our daily ministries. It is essential that we continue to support the needs of our annual operating budget so that we can remain a faithful presence in the lives of those for whom we are called to serve. Together, these two campaigns seek our generous response. Remember that our giving is our response to all that we have received by God’s grace. “With grateful hearts”… we give thanks for faithful stewards who give out of gratitude.
