 | Special Concerts in February at Gloria Dei 2/1/2010 1:53 PM
Sunday, February 21st 3:00 p.m. This concert will feature Kurt Claussen in music of the Baroque era. Kurt shares his talents frequently in worship at Gloria Dei. By day, he directs bands at Apple Valley/Rosemount middle schools and teaches saxophone at St. Olaf College. He will be joined by Music Director, Timothy Strand, who will be playing a major organ work of J.S. Bach.
Paul and Sunday, February 28th 3:00 p.m. The Baumgartners are retired piano faculty from Gustavus Adolphus College and they will play a program of Mendelssohn piano duet music. 2009 marked the Bicentennial of Mendelssohn’s birth. A freewill offering will be taken and proceeds will go to support Mission and Ministry at Luther Seminary.
