YOU ARE INVITED you to participate in the annual Men of Gloria Dei "Fall Retreat" on September 15-18, 2011.
This September, like the last thirty one, the men of Gloria Dei are going to gather for the 32nd Annual “Fall Retreat.” The retreat takes place on the shores of Fish Hook Lake at the Northern Pines United Methodist Assembly Grounds just outside Park Rapids, MN. We gather for fun, fellowship, bible study and worship.  | | The fall golf is wonderful! | We hope you can join us for this wonderful time together celebrating the oneness we all have in Christ Jesus.
Included you will find directions to Northern Pines and a schedule for the weekend. Please take special note of the schedule...you’ll see there’s a little bit of everything included. Please know that all the activities on the schedule are OPTIONAL...this is your weekend to spend as you wish...and to participate as you are comfortable and desire.
In addition to the sessions centered on the chosen theme for the weekend,  | | The scenery in Lake Itasca State Park is beautiful! | opportunities for worship are available on Friday evening when we gather for Holden Evening Prayer, and on Sunday morning for the Service of Holy Communion. Both Friday’s and Sunday’s services are held in the camp’s beautiful chapel.
It’s important to know that everyone has a place on this retreat...all are welcome and the opportunities for the men of Gloria Dei to get to know and connect with one another are endless. Whether it is gathering at the table for a meal, biking or rollerblading the  | | The fish are biting on Fishhook Lake! | Heartland Trail, playing a round of golf, quiet time in a fishing boat, hiking at the Headwaters of the Mississippi, sitting on the dock and watching the sunset, taking a walk, reading a book, worship, spiritual reflection, taking an afternoon nap, a good game of cards, “schmoozing” in the kitchen...whatever the activity...the Fall Retreat promises to be an enriching, relaxing and enjoyable time for all.
