We regularly have opportunities for people to serve at an event at Gloria Dei.  The following activities would be fun for mentors and youth to sign up for together.  Choose any that work in your schedules. 

Advent brings several opportunities for service to others.  Please let me know if you can assist with any of the following.

1.  Help decorate the church!  Advent & Christmas require a LOT of extra candles, greens, banners, and flowers.  Please join the Visual Design team on any of the following dates to help with set up and take down of decorations.  Let us know if you are able to come for all or any part of the following shifts:

Saturday, November 26  9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon

Thursday, December 22  5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Thursday, January 5  5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

2.  9th & 10th graders and their mentors are invited to serve at Feed My Starving Children on our last confirmation class before Christmas (12/21).  Mentors, click here to let us know if you can drive from Gloria Dei (leave church at 5:30 p.m.)  Wonderful chance to help feed those who are hungry!

3.  You are also invited to help staff a shift at Project Home caring for our guests who seek shelter.  (Have the mentor sign up on the website, and indicate that the youth is attending with him/her.)

4.  On Sunday, Dec 11 (10:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.), we are looking for mentors and students to help with sorting and delivering Giving Tree Gifts.  The Giving Tree is a way we give Christmas gifts to young people who might otherwise not receive a gift.  Several mentors/students needed.  If 3 of the mentors are able to serve as drivers that would really help.  Contact Tiffany or Pastor Lois if you can help.
