 | FAQ for 7th and 8th Graders regarding CrossWalk Good Friday, 4/6, 3:00 & 5:00 p.m. The last days of Christ as led by the 7th and 8th grade Sunday School class of Gloria Dei. What is a CrossW The Good Friday CrossWalk is an innovative worship experience that invites us to enter into the story of Christ’s passion and death. It takes the congregation on a tour of the last days of Jesus’ earthly life. Each scene is located in different sites throughout the church. Adults and children of all ages are included and participate in the action as the story unfolds. Why is it important? The CrossWalk leads us through a deeply spiritual story, which is central to our faith. Leading it is a wonderful experience for young people, and everyone who comes to worship at the event is allowed to hear the story in a unique way through your witness. What if I can’t make all the rehearsals? Come as often as you can! Let the directors and your teachers know your schedule. Be ready to work outside of class to learn lines or find props. I can’t be here on Good Friday. Should I skip the rehearsals? Of course not! The CrossWalk preparation is a valuable aspect of our curriculum for Sunday School and Confirmation. This story is central to our faith. You will have a great chance to learn it through the rehearsals, even if you won’t be here for the actual CrossWalk. We need your support in many ways outside of the presentation itself. I’m in Jubilate Choir. What will this mean for me? Thank you for singing in our youth choir. We appreciate your service. You will have a bit of a challenge on Wednesday nights, but it has worked for many years for others, and it can work for you, too. As soon as choir is dismissed, get in line for dinner, and then take your tray back to the Colonial Room. The CrossWalk rehearsal will have started, and you can join in as best you can. When are rehearsals?
