April 2008 Stained Glass Window Project These colorful black banners hanging in the gallery are a Centennial gift to the church from the children of Gloria Dei. Each child from pre-kindergarten through 6th grade decorated a square that has been attached to appear as a pane in a stained glass window.
The art committee would like to thank the children of Gloria Dei for their beautiful work and the quilting group for their expertise in assembling the banner.
In addition, the framed pictures of the stained glass windows in our sanctuary have been hung with an explanation describing the content and story behind each window. The photographs of the glass windows in the church were taken by Jim Johnson and Eric Lecy. We appreciate their work. The stained glass window descriptions are from the 50th anniversary book published by Gloria Dei in 1958.
