As the Senior Pastor of Gloria Dei, I am responsible for the “big picture”, making sure our ministries support the mission of this community of faith while expanding our vision for loving and serving in Jesus’ name. That means I keep watch over our ministry, our programs, the financial position and the administration of the business of this church that supports our ministries as I work closely with our talented staff and the good and faithful people of Gloria Dei and our partners in ministry in other places.  I am married to Jim Peterson who is the President of Gustavus Adolphus College.  We enjoy music, theatre and travel. We are the parents of two grown children. Our son lives in New York State with his wife who is a pastor in the ELCA; our daughter is married and lives in Golden Valley and is the mother of two wonderful grandsons.  The year 2007, marked 22 years of serving with the people of Gloria Dei (and 25 years of ordination), and I can honestly say that together we have grown “by God’s grace”!
